Sharing Your Voice with the World

In this camp teachers will be introduced to the medium of podcasting through a study of several popular podcasts. After becoming familiar with the genre, teachers will have the opportunity to create a short podcast from begining to end by researching a topic that interests them, recording and editing a podcast and then publishing it for others to listen to. As we develop our own podcasts, we will be discovering the ways that this kind of writing helps nurture young writers abilities at the same time as it meets the state standards for writing instruction. By the end of the week, teachers will have all the tools they need to use podcasts in their classroom to help their students develop as writers.
